Crawl in His Skin: Linkin Park Guy Has Clothing Line

So, Chester Bennington from peaked and is sliding Linkin Park has decided to sell $80 t-shirts. His clothing line is called "Ve'cel," which sounds like something Kid Rock would name his daughter.

Chester on his morning clothing routine: "My belt needs to match my shoes. My socks need to match my underwear. Everything has got to go together. It's an event, for real." Way to go with the Garanimals, Chester!

Chester's personal armoire of taste: "Bennington himself has an expensive, eclectic and edgy eye for fashion. In his closet hang 50 jackets from his favorite labels, such as Armani, Cosa Nostra and Abercrombie & Fitch." ABERCROMBIE! Clearly we're dealing with a sophisticated, well-tuned palate here.

The cotton shirts will be $45-80 and will depict "today's culture" including such new and challenging themes as tattoos.

Get in line kids!

Shoes, shoes will tear us apart again.

My April Fool award goes to hypebeast.com for the New Balance Joy Division Special Edition Athletic Shoe. Not just the concept, but the cover of Unknown Pleasures as a sole pattern, and the Factory release number on the back.

I hope the New Order ones will have blinking techno disco lights. For now, I'm off to go GOTH JOGGING!

Dept of What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

From today's News of the Weird:

Retired German farmer Karl Szmolinsky told reporters in January that he had agreed to visit North Korea in April to give tips on how he managed to breed huge rabbits (around 20-25 lbs.), which he believes the Koreans view as one answer to their hunger crisis.  He has already sent a sampler of 12 monster rabbits, which should produce 60 offspring a year, with one providing "a filling meal for eight people," he told Der Spiegel. [Der Spiegel, 1-10-07]

Let's see. Hungry 25 pound rabbits (in quantity) versus malnourished, oppressed Korean people.

Anyone up for a remake of Night of the Lepus?
